Tea Party Comix

August 3, 2010

Drawing of a Young Woman by Herbert Freeman

I have been reading about Tea Party Comix for the last couple of weeks on the Talking Points Memo political blog.  One of the posts there lead me to Ethan Persoff’s site which has been documenting this comic book series.

Persoff and I agree that although these images are starkly and repulsively racist they are indeed  great examples of heartfelt outsider art.  The series chiefly consists of around 50 satiric parodies of actual comic book covers.

If the image is too small try clicking on it to open a larger version.
